Rates of Pay (ROP)
The SAU has from its inception been concerned with establishing recognised national standards in artists’ contracts and payments. In light of new legislation the SAU is no longer able to produce contemporary rates of pay guidance as this is now viewed as anti-competitive. The last figures we were able to produce related to the 2004 – 2006 time period and are reproduced in the document below. These would have been increased in 2006 by at least the equivalent sum of the biannual inflation for that time period and we would suggest that this is a calculation that our individual members can make themselves to arrive at an appropriate figure for the present date.
